When you’re out camping, it never hurts to have a little comfort. Thankfully, things have come a long way since the days of sitting or sleeping on the ground.
There are countless companies that offer cots, chairs, tables, and any other camp-worthy furnishings in a variety of forms, depending on your campsite needs.
Cabella’s Lounge Cot
This is an expensive cot! That being said, it is comfortable, and I’ve used it on a couple of trips now, with no complaints except that it is still pretty bulky when folded up. Another positive is that the cot is well-built. I used an inflatable sleeping pad with it, which made for extra restful sleep. Do I recommend it? Sure, if you’re okay with paying a good bit for it and you have plenty of space to haul it.
Ozark Trail Zipper Cot
I’ve had this cot for a few years, and it has gone with me on a few adventures. It’s not fancy, and once you figure out how it folds and unfolds, it’s easy to use and is compact. Its low profile works perfectly with smaller spaces, such as my scout tents, and it is very sturdy. Unfortunately, because of the materials used in the construction, it is fairly heavy. It’s not a bad cot, and with a good sleeping pad is decently comfortable.
OneTigris Supranubis Cot
This is a fairly new piece of gear for me, and I’ve only used it once so far, but it will most likely be my main cot. It packs down small and is lightweight yet sturdy. It can be used at two different heights, so it takes the place of both of the cots mentioned above. I haven’t found anything negative about this product yet, but you’d better be prepared to use some force to get the crossbars locked in place. I highly recommend this item.

OneTigris Tigerblade Highback Chair
As with the Supranubis Cot, this is a more recent purchase. This chair also packs down pretty compactly and is nice and light. So far, it’s plenty comfortable, and the side pockets are handy for holding your phone, a drink, or other items. No armrests, but when I sit in it, I don’t really notice their absence. Once again, another great OneTigris product.

GCI Outdoors Pod Rocker Chair
I’ve had this chair for a couple of years now, and have used it numerous times. It’s super comfy, very sturdy, and comes with a carry bag. The combo side pocket is convenient, and who doesn’t love to kick back in a rocking chair? The one thing I will say about this chair, as well as the one above, is that while the mesh is nice in warm weather, it’s a different story in cooler weather. So, I tend to carry an extra blanket with me just for this. That said, it’s a nice chair.
Ozark Trail Ultra Lightweight Backpack Chair
I bought this little chair when I first started stealth camping. It’s pretty compact, easy to assemble, and definitely lightweight as advertised. That said, it is mostly mesh, so don’t plan to use it except in the summer. It is fairly comfortable, though. Overall, not too bad for an inexpensive backpacking chair.
Magellan Oudoors Melamine Folding Table
I needed a good, sturdy folding table to take camping, and I found this one at Academy. It has an adjustable height, a carrying handle, and locks in place both folded and unfolded. It’s nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.
OneTigris Dipper Camping Table
Another OneTigris product, and it’s just as good. This table is extremely compact and lightweight, and the storage pouch is a nice addition. The surface is made from waterproof fabric, but I don’t think I’d use a stove on it without something under it. Otherwise, I say give it a try.
