Stealth Camping Alliance Challenge #1: The World Challenge
The rules of the challenge were simple: show off your local area while stealth camping, and I knew Lake Eastland was just the place.
While this lake has a small park for public access, it’s day use only. But thankfully, as I was dropped off just before dusk, I found a nice, secluded spot in the woods nearby and set up camp unobserved.
Due to the stealthy nature of this campout, I couldn’t do a whole lot of much besides cooking dinner, which consisted of a Mountain House Beef Stew, and just hanging out.
I would have loved a campfire, but I didn’t think it was a good idea, so I sat by my tiny lantern instead, for story time. That night’s tales were about such local legends as Old Rip, The Penny Grave, and The Santa Cause Bank Robbery.
The night was dark, but not too cold, and the only noises I heard belonged to the creatures of the night or an occasional train in the distance. Regardless, it was a good end to a great evening.

The next morning, I packed up, was picked up bright and early, and headed home.
Very enjoyable solo campout!
